LOL (Who is Ron Jeremy - what did he play?)

A leading US TV news reporter has said her network is taking a risk with a NEWS SPECIAL which asks whether Jesus Christ had a wife.
A news special?
A NEW LOW in the left-wing radical extremist attacks on Christianity!

Ron Jeremy....isn't he an English actor that appeared in a movie about a grown man having an affair with a thirteen year old girl?

I am looking for the same outrage and boycott for this movie that was displayed about the upcoming movie about President Reagan

The book, "Holy Blood, Holy Grail", lays out this "theory" -
"The authors of Holy Blood, Holy Grail assert that their explorations into early history ultimately reveal that Jesus may not have died on the cross, but lived to marry and father children whose bloodline continues today.
The authors' point here is not to compromise or to demean Jesus, but to offer another, more complete perspective of Jesus as God's incarnation in man.
The power of this secret, which has been carefully guarded for hundreds of years, has sparked much controversy.
For all the sensationalism and hoopla surrounding Holy Blood, Holy Grail and the alternate history that it outlines, the authors are careful to keep their perspective and sense of skepticism alive in its pages, explaining carefully and clearly how they came to draw such combustible conclusions."

You will only see more of this. The secular humanists will do everything in their power to trivialize Christ and Christianity in order to thwart the impact of Mel Gibson's "The Passion" when it is released next spring. They fear a return to religious values which will screw up their agenda.

Ron Jeremy....isn't he an English actor that appeared in a movie about a grown man having an affair with a thirteen year old girl? Yes. But his show business friends usually call him by his nickname: "The Hedgehog"

Arpege92 That would explain why I don't know him. Anyway, the terrorist Taxi Driver pare was GREAT!
apackof2: I have no outrage left. The cable is gone from the house and my boycott of TV is complete.

Ron Jeremy is a fat, balding, hairy, unattractive prolific porn star. How could someone with those qualities be a 'star' you ask? Let's just say he could stand at attention whenever the situation required it.

That movie has been on cable for a while now. What I don't get about that movie is how this girls parents would even allow there daughter to appear in a movie like that.

It doesn't surprise me that ABC is considering showing this tripe. The news division has been in love with the revisionist historians known as "The Jesus Seminar" for many years.

No KIDDING! Asking for trouble. "the love of money..."

I don't understand why people are so upset by this.
The Gospels say nothing of Jesus' life between the ages of about 13 and 30.
Given that the Gospel writers believed they were writing the life of the Savior of humanity, it seems an unaccountable omission.
How could what Jesus did and said during that period not be important?
Couldn't he have married and had children?
That would not have been a sin, would it?
That the Gospels don't mention Jesus having a wife is hardly evidence that he didn't, since the Gospels obviously leave out an enormous amount of Jesus' words and actions.

You asked a question, but did not bother to answer mine,
Why would Jesus being married cause problems for the Christian faith?
Why is it such a big deal?

Ron Jeremy is a notoriously unattractive porn star whose only aesthetic appeal is his freakish gland. To my knowledge, has only had affairs with women, not girls...if you want to call them "affairs." A more accurate term would be "sexual handshakes."
