FWIW, November 10th will be the 28th anniversary of the Edmund Fitzgerald disaster.

Only the 28th? I'd heard of the Edmund Fitzgerald, but assumed it was something from way in the past.

For the past week, Ive been watching a rented VCR of The Perfect Storm, the movie version of that disaster, based on Sebastian Jungers 1997 novel of the same name. And I thought Lord of the Rings was long.
LOL

As a whole, I found the movie disappointing and did not really enjoy it.I'm sorry to hear that.

Since I'm a German speaker, I hope there's a German language-no subtitles option.

That's OK. Perhaps my expectations are too high. I did enjoy the book and learning the story of these fishermen.

Thanks a bunch! It took a while, but I downloaded it. Clooney actually had a vague resemblance, I felt, to the real Billy Tyne.

Thanks for the tip; when I hear German being spoken, while seeing English subtitles, I get all gemischtepickles, and get the worst of both worlds.
