Licensees may carry a weapon or firearm into such a restaurant as long as they do not enter the lounge area, if the restaurant does have a separate space so designated.

How does this fit with restaurants whose entrance is right next to the bar, or which take payment at a register located at the end of the bar? Or do restauranteurs in Florida arrange their restaurants to avoid these issues?

"It's illegal for a CCW-holder to drink and carry a gun in every single state with a CCW law. "

Not quite. I'm not aware of the RCW here in WA having anything but a prohibition of you carrying a gun into an establishment that serves alcohol.

But I don't know of any law preventing you from carrying while "legally drunk."

I also disagree with the people who said you shouldn't carry if you've had anything to drink.

1)Not all of us who drink get tore up from the floor up. Some of us get a buzz that does not effect our behavior at all, except to be a little more loose-tongued.

2)Not all of us are belligerent drunks. I'm an ultra-friendly and polite drinker.

3)If you're walking to a car or walking home from a club or bar, you are a target. It's late at night, criminals know some of the clubgoers have been drinking. Many bar and clubgoers are at minimum, tired and not completely aware of their surroundings. This is THE time for a firearm.

It's all about knowing yourself. If you're an honorable and stable individual, you'd never just pop rounds off because someone stepped on your Pumas. Operating a pistol is less difficult than driving an auto over some distance.

But yeah, if you're a rip roaring fightin' drunk then you should leave the gun at home. But a knife is still something you should carry ;)

If you ever have to use your firearm in self-defense, I guarantee you that the fact that you had a few drinks beforehand will come up when you go before the grand jury.

Self-defense is NOT a slam-dunk defense in these days of hyper-Political Correctness.

Just because something ain't illegal doesn't make it smart.
