Yeah, I think they should've done one, too, just out of caution. Maybe Baden is wrong! Those experts don't prepare very well for their TV guest appearances, and they've been caught getting the facts wrong.
And re-reading what you said Baden said, it's like he's implying that caffeine is one of the substances that doesn't cross the placenta. But I never heard that... I've always assumed that caffeine one ingested WOULD get to the baby.

I believe I heard the small amount of caffeine in Laci would have meant the baby would not have shown any caffeine.
