I wonder if any reporters are permitted to use laptops to commuicate testimony out of the courtroom in realtime??

Meant to ping you to my last post #130. There is a teacher here that has a Dell laptop that has a wireless card that picks up from our server here without having to be hooked up to the system, you could pretty much enter anywhere and pick up any system with this card. I was thinking about getting that set up for myself for x-mas so I could be posting while infront of any tv in the house. Could use it at work too, not have to use the PC here.
Have you ever seen anyone in the courtroom use anything like this, is it permitted?

I think that would be frowned upon because of the no transmission rule. No cellphones, no nothing. Not to mention the potential for abuse, a little webcam would be a step away.

From what I understand, no, they're not. (But they may still have ways...)
