Yeah, I don't think a bunch of salesman are gonna do anything to compromise their bottom line!
To: Devil_Anse
I bet they did test it.
To: Spunky
Yeah, I caught that Spunky. For some reason for all his planning, things still seem sort of spur of the moment to me. Something must have come up and I lean towards a phone call from Amber being that something.

It's almost as though he had a horror of seeing the baby, or thought that once he'd met his SON, he wouldn't be able to "dispose" of him, and that would leave an untenable loose end in what he envisioned as his perfect new beginning.
To: Velveeta
I read the testimony, but I don't recall their asking the maid if she really only mopped half the floor. (We know that's not so, but they needed to bring that out plainly.)
To: Devil_Anse
Maybe it's just me but I don't see much of a chance of Snotty falling in love with his baby when he saw it. Snotty loves himself and that's about it IMO.
To: Spunky
I'm not so sure it wasn't planned for exactly that night. The reason why is that early on we heard reports that he told Amber that after he returned from Maine and Belgium in mid-January he would be free to be with her.
I think he thought that during the holidays with perhaps a skeleton crew of law enforcement, that this missing person case would just "go away".
To: onyx
Beyond that, ya think many or most of his "friends, associates" just might think he offed her? Country club guys? Yeah. Rotary guys? I don't know. Bill Mitchell is probably still a member.
To: Devil_Anse
Yes, 4 screws and some rubber stripping. I actually had him put the glass storm door in its place though since we'll probably be getting snow soon enough.
To: RGSpincich
He's a text book - case study in sociopathy, regardless. The guy is totally self-absorbed. He appears to go through life mimicking human emotions that he himself cannot feel for or toward others.

"IF" he cries in jail, it's only for his own plight, not for Laci or their unborn baby boy.

But the cement weights were done, the barbells purchased, chicken wire purchased, he had the boat, had the tide chart, had the tarps, had the secret storage facility, had the secret PO Box...all systems go.
To: Devil_Anse
"And they do NOT have beautiful floor coverings"That wasn't me that said they had beautiful floor coverings. That was Editer.
I said I hear they can do lovely things with cement floors.
Like write their names on them like guys do in the snow.;-)

Maybe not, but perhaps "baby-killer" did not fit in with his manly image--his narcissist's view of his perfect self.
It's absurd to us, but I think a guy like that could actually draw a distinction btw killing the wife, pregnant though she was, as opposed to killing the wife, then killing a helpless baby. There really is no distinction, but I think in his bizarre mind, there might have been. Image is everything to a narcissist.

Woo hoo! Devil gets the 666 post!!!
I noticed that too that they should have asked if she mopped the entire floor. I wonder if they plan on bringing her back for additional testimony later?
I guess FR is shutting down soon. Goodnight all.
To: Spunky
LOL! I know it wasn't you that said it. I responded to you, though, b/c I feared to get ed started on the tile. But it's inevitable.
I imagine Scott staring at the cement floor in his cell, thinking "this floor needs a good mopping!"
To: An American In Dairyland
"Something must have come up and I lean towards a phone call from Amber being that something."That is what I think also.
That call that was made on Dec 23rd.

Hmmm, I always seem to get that number. It's uncanny.
Where did we hear that Scott said the maid only mopped half the floor? Maybe he didn't really say that, and if he didn't, that's why they didn't ask that. I can't remember whether the cop testified that Scott said that.
If Scott DID say that, yes, I think they should bring the maid back and ask her that--assuming that they've heard from the maid that she DID mop the whole floor.
