"If it is, then how can Greer proceed on the basis of hearsay?" I read somewhere here today that there has to be a directive in writing under Florida law. I can only presume that Greer makes that giant leap based on the HINO acting as proxy, which I'm not sure there is any legal precedent for. That could be another reason why this case is so important to certain players....they would like to set that precedent, then they could appoint death advocate "guardians" at will to act as proxy in any case where an individual might not be able to speak for himself or herself, or for whatever reason the court may deem an individual incompetent to do so.
That would set a very scary precedent indeed.

I'm glad to see that a lot of us are getting a "clue" to this case, lets keep supporting the family and Terri.
I would like to add that if any of you would like to make a contribution to Terris foundation to help pay for postage, phone calls, photo copies and misc. other things, go to www.terrisfight.org and make a tax deductable donation(I beleive its a non-profit org.) to a worthy cause. This will eventually help us and other handicap people in this country.
The family's attorney Patricia Anderson (God Bless her) is working pro-bono. Thanks to her, and Tom her legal secretary.
