Fizzies! Oh, I loved those! I wasn't allowed to have soda, but my Grandma let me have Fizzies.

The only way to consume them was to take the Fizzie in little chunks directly on your tongue (and only the root beer ones). Putting them in water as intended made a pretty weak drink.

Can you believe "not being allowed soda"? We weren't either except if we were having a party and then folks bought a case of bottles.

We used to eat 'em. It was a big fad in my American neighborhood when I lived overseas as a kid.

We used to just pop them out of those blister packs and lick them until they were gone.

Our tongues were very colorful.
