I've been a Snickers girl my whole life. Also 3 Muskateers and Milky Ways. Actually any candy bar with chocolate does the trick (Baby Ruths, Butterfingers, etc, etc, etc). But, boy! Did this thread bring back memories.
I well remember Hi-C in the big can. I remember when pop and beer cans had to be opened with the can opener (we did not use the term "church key" in the Midwest). We drank Tang and lots of Kool-Aid. And someone remembered the Funny Face drinks and we drank that, too! Back to Kool-Aid, my mom sent away for the Kool-Aid pitcher and thereafter mixed it up in that.
As to rituals, we used to get Tootsie-pops to watch Saturday morning cartoons. LOL
I have lots of memories of many of the things people have reminded us of. Like I hadn't remembered Shakapuddin---I would never have remembered that without the prodding. How about Swiss Miss?
