He was also on Comedy Central's "The Daily Show" last evening. Norm was quoted as saying "The United States is the greatest country in the world."

The story I heard was that SNL's producer Lorne Michaels didn't think Norm was funny enough so he canned him. I always did. The guy that replaced him was HORRIBLE and didn't last long. I thought Collin Quinn was great, but just didn't compare well to Norm. Quinn is a Bush supporter too by the way.

I don't recall him being a supporter of any conservative, but what do I know? Do you like his new show on Comedy Central? I like the premise but there are too many lefties for my taste.
What one of socialists on that show said about Laura Bush I wouldn't even repeat here. But it completely ticked me off and I haven't watched since.

I think so too, but I remember his last gig on SNL's "news" when he did a report/joke on Flight 800.
Went something like this: "....Mean while, here in New York, the NTSB has found the definitive cause of the crash of Flight 800...............It was a freakin' missle".

I think Darrell Hammond is hysterical - and about the only cast member I will stop to watch. His algore was so dead-on that algore himself became more like the caricature!

By the way, Norm was on the last segment of the View today - I guess in case they had to "disappear" him again. [g]
He said that Ronald Reagan was the greatest president of the 20th century, and that he became a U.S. citizen because of Canada's lack of support for the war in Iraq. The gals looked shocked.
