Amnesty for illegal aliens just encourages more illegal immigration.

How many times must we try this failed experiment ? Every amnesty program has been said to be the last..but they never are and illegals know this. Many of them are aware that if they stick it out long enough, Uncle Sam is going to fold and give them citizenship.

NO MORE AMNESTY..!

• National economic security and security for workers, "particularly low-income and underemployed Americans," must not be undercut "by exploited, unskilled illegal alien workers."

This is a most compelling plank for attracting Latino voters, legal ones, that is, not to mention Reagan Dems, without turning off Bush's conservative base. But the question is, are Bush's campaign operatives smart enough to see it and to make it work.

I can't believe that a Texan doesn't know the problems that immigration is causing. Bush must have been as isolated in Texas as he has been in the White House. Rove should be smart enough to realize that legal immigrants are turned off with the illegals that enter the US and threaten their jobs. Does Bush rely on illegals to vote illegaly to boost his candidacy? He should explain this discrepancy in his wish for amnesty and the pander to illegals.

The Dems want illegals for potential votes and don't care about anything else. The Repbulicans want illegals for cheap labor which benefits their corporate buddies. Neither party is ever going to do anything serious about this issue because they don't care. They aren't living the lives that we are.

Sorry but Bush has failed us on this issue. He's not going to do anything. I have lived in California my entire life and have watched this state spiral into the sort of decay you see in Tijuana.

This problem will come to a head eventually. In California, Texas or Arizona. 5-10 years down the road, maybe sooner.

He said Hayworth is unrealistic if he thinks he can fix the country's immigration system without offering the millions of undocumented immigrants already here the opportunity to become legal residents of Mexico again, at minimum cost to the US taxpayer.

Deport their butts !

The corrupt government of Mexico makes no secret of their Mexican diaspora, "a nation without borders," policy. Both of our political parties know it and approve it. It's all been said before and both Parties laugh because they know there's not a damn thing we can do about it.

My own experience proves emails and phone calls mean absolutely nothing. I will not vote for a president in 2004. That's all I can do.

My current congressman -- not Ose! -- appears to have a good record on this. If he signs Rep. Hayworth's letter I'll vote for him but NO other federal candidate. So Dems get elected? Good. Let the cultural war explode. Let's get it over with.
