If I were anywhere near Terri, I'd be freeping my heart out. I don't know why anyone would pull this from "activism" either.

Just checked in on this thread today and see that this thread has been pulled from " activism"??WHY??

I have had to slow back for a few days in keeping up as I haven't felt real well. With tension over Terri and the Calif. fires ( our daughter was in the Grand Prix area of the fire)....exhaustion has effected my Blood Pressure.

Perhaps the Freeping has to be sanctioned by a local chapter?

Actually, it's more than that. I believe the problem is with other freepers who are taking a different (ignorant) position with regards to Terri. They feel that the Terri case threatens their own "right-to-die" and they are right about that, too. However, they completely misunderstand the origin of the threat to their personal liberties.

It is people like George Felos, Judge Greer and Michael Schiavo who have corrupted the system. These perpetuators of a "forced death culture" present the biggest threat to the goal of minimizing government interference in personal lives and deaths. This case undoubtedly will result in law changes, and unfortunately, it will probably result in greater government oversight, too.

Sadly, it is not the Terri supporters, but those who support the ACLU (and indirectly certain corrupt individuals), that will cause another layer of government oversight to be added.

FACT: The "right-to-die'rs" who have banished us to the religious forums are using the classic dem tactics of labeling and name-calling. They refer to "those hysterical, over emotional, illogical Terri threads", and they resort to rudeness that ridicules people's faith with names like "those pious holier-than-thou" pro-lifers.

FACT: Due to incomplete, agenda-driven research, that falls back on the (recently written) "law", the banishers have minimized the importance of this precedent-setting case.

Let's give credit where credit is due. The admin mod committee and Jim Rob do recognize the trick of labeling and name-calling when the mainstream media uses it to diss Republicans.

Unfortunately, they completely miss it when its used by some of the "old-time" libertarian Freepers to attack any issue that is embraced by Christian conservatives, even if the issue directly relates to an immoral and unacceptable use of government force (a major libertarian issue).

The stated goal of Freerepublic is to get the Dems out of power, everywhere. Supporting the Communist ACLU and casually dismissing those that value human life, by relegating them to the role of "religious whackos", is certainly not the way to accomplish our common mission.

Despite the lack of support from those whom we must give the credit for creating and running such an amazing website, we will prevail.

We will, state by state, community by community, discover the subtle phrases in each state's statutes that allow fortune-hunting spouses and relatives to knock off their "inconveniences".
