They lived in an apartment. Were there stairs in the apartment? It is kind of unusual, although possible. It seems that if that were the case it would have been mentioned, though, if for no other reason than it would make the HINO look less guilty. I wouldn't think it would be too hard to find out. Someone at the vigil could simply ask Bobby (who lived in the same apartment complex).

I thought they might, given what Michael said to LK. But at this site
http://www.thrownback.blogspot.com/ Terri's dad describes her as lying between bedroom and hallway, so I guess Michael was going "down" the hall. That begs another question. If he woke up and went out of the bedroom and down the hall to her, was she in a different bedroom than he was?
Not that this is going to matter in the long run. She had traumatic injuries and only Michael was there with her---and they'd been having marital trouble. That doesn't make it certain he hurt her, but it does make it obvious he shouldn't be guardian with the power to end her life on his say-so about her wishes.
And he won't say-so on a lie detector! Just when you think this thing couldn't stink more.

We really don't go up to the family and ask them stuff. I just pat them on the back and ask them if there's anything I can do. They're grateful that so many people are so dedicated to Terri.
