The thanks of a grateful city go out to a couple of undercover cops in the South Bronx, who - at great risk to themselves - have saved New York from the perils of ... dominoes.
These dedicated officers staked out and raided a game in Joyce Kilmer Park, busting four players who had eluded prosecution for at least a decade. They claim innocence, even though they were conducting their nefarious activity in full view of the public.
Think about it. If outdoor domino games are allowed to continue unabated, next thing you know, someone will be playing "Chutes and Ladders" in the park. And from there, it's a slippery slope right down to "Candy Land." The horror. The horror.
