One of them, most likely, at this point in time and purely coinjecture, is that Dean WILL have the number of delegates to be the Dem presidential candidate in '04. When was the last time, that there was NOT a candidate, in either party, at convention time, to be named THE presidential candidate ? Do you know ? Was it in your lifetime ? Hint, hint ... it was 4 decades ago.

Without any delegates pleged to her, Hitlery! can NOT even be thrown into the mix. Al Sharpton would go balistic, Howard Dean would throw the hissy fit to end ALL hissy fits, and that's just for starters.

There is NO possible way, today, that none of the 9 dwarves would not have the majority needed, after the primary season, to be proclaimed the Dem candidate. That isn't a conjecture; it's a fact.

True .. but do you think Hellary really cares what they think or want??

Remember, it's all about her and her wants

President Ford did not have the requisite delegates for the nomination heading into the 1976 convention.

We disagree only on the probability assigned to a deadlocked convention on the first ballot. On that, only time will tell.

I'm of a mixed mind. In some ways, I would like the vampire to take her run and be crushed. I so want the Clintons out of our national hair. OTOH, a race against HRC will be the most polarizing race of our age. This country needs some unity and civility. 2004 will be especially nasty no matter what. But HRC will bring out the very worst in the left and in us. I'll be walking precincts in any event.
