How about being a polite guest on a private web site?

This is a very poor analogy. FR is a private business; posters and readers are customers. While the level of discourse should remain polite, it's because of market decisions made by the owner (which I approve), not out of some sentimental drivel regarding 'guests'.

You are a guest on this site. If the owner or his representative pulls a post promoting and pandering to a private web site, it takes alot of gall and rudeness to repost giving the web address against the wishes of the owner.

If you don't think so, you will find out soon enough what such crassness will earn a poster.
