I find it awfully discouraging that the articles I posted that were hosted by stevequayle.com, which originated from viable news and various other sources, were pulled and that the only reason given for their exclusion was that, and I quote, "I don't think we want stevequayle.com here".

You've got to remember, probably 95% of all web forums are free-for-all pest holes where the loudest shout gets the most replys and the concept of moderator is non existant.
If they're 20 something, we should at least see if they survice a few friendly whacks on the hand before hitting the ejection handle. We need to keep saving them from the clutches of the 'Rats.
Heck, I was 20 uh... just a few years ago ;)

What aspects of Phil Crane's voting record do you consider to be liberal?

What aspects of Phil Crane's voting record do you consider to be liberal? I owe you an apology. Nothing at all wrong with Phil's voting record -- ACU rating of 100 in 2001 and 2002 with a lifetime rating of 99. Outstandlingly conservative. But Phil has failed to take the reins and show any real leadership in pushing the conservative agenda. I know he's suffered from personal problems, but still, I'll be happy when he packs it up and calls it a day.

"I'll be happy when he packs it up and calls it a day"So will I, and it isn't because of his voting record. Crane votes exactly how I like him to vote; that is why I voted for him in every election I could.
Crane does have personal problems and should retire because of this. To be fair, Crane's drinking problems didn't start until after his daughter died of cancer at a young age. But he shouldn't be trying to fix the nation when he needs attend to his own personal affairs, etc.

Home of the school where Phaedrus taught. (Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance by Robert M. Pirsig). Running with your tangent... a freaking awesome book. And not remotely hippy-dip, despite the aesthetics of the title. One of the best books I have ever read.

Now . . . would you please be kind enough to tell me how to walk again ??? Ok... you're going to need a couple of working legs and a LOT of duct tape... (hoping you're in a humorous mood)

It seems many of those here have nothing better to do then berate those who attempt to make a positive contribution. Well, there was your first mistake. Most people here attempt to make plausible contributions.

I am quite impressed by his other book Lila as well. I count you, me, and a good friend of mine as the only 3 people I believe have ever read it. Even better philosophy than the first book (as I recall... haven't read it for a while), but the prose part is definitely superior in "Zen."

Duct tape is like the Force... it has a light side and a dark side. Futhermore, it holds the entire universe together. But it doesn't do a damn thing help me walk!!!
Hey, Snuffy... d'ya think I could sue the manufacturer??? :-))
