A man accused of raping his infant daughter has pleaded guilty in a deal that could spare him years in prison.
Joseph Lehman Jr., 38, whose father heads the state Corrections Department, pleaded guilty to child rape charges Tuesday in King County Superior Court.

Lehman was arrested in January and was released later that month to the custody of his mother. He returned to custody Tuesday.
He told investigators he also fondled a 9-year-old girl in 1997 when he lived in Maine, but the incident was never reported to authorities.
In 1989 Lehman Jr. was convicted of orchestrating the robbery of a bank security vehicle that was delivering $25,000 to automated teller machines in Tacoma and served one day in jail. His accomplice served a month and a half in jail.
Gee, it's good to have daddy in charge of the prison system.
By the way, the most alarming statistic (to me) on that page is the percentage of US federal prison population who are Mexican citizens: 16.3%, almost 1 out of 6. Aye carumba.
But a lot of the 54.7 percent are also in for other crimes. When you break out those that are in for mj possession without other more serious convictions, it comes out to about
TWO PERCENT.
And it is even more alarming when you go to the California statistics!
MPP concludes that the government must implement better data-gathering techniques to assess the impact of marijuana prohibition. A government committed to fighting a war against its own citizens should be held to the highest level of accountability to justify its actions. It is unconscionable that not one government agency can determine with any degree of certainty how many marijuana offenders are presently locked in cages with dangerous criminals. MPP implores the federal, state, and local governments to compile thorough, accurate, and timely data on the number of marijuana offenders incarcerated in the United States.
Even your 2% is a lie, the estimated number by MPP is 12%
My dear, Barbarians wouldn't suffer a creature such as this to live. They'd cut his guts out, then stick his head on a pike in the village green.
Only civilised folk would try to understand him, feel his pain, give him therapy...
Sometimes, we need to get in touch with our inner barbarian.
My 2% is NOT a lie!
My 2% is not a lie! Where did you get your 67%???????
According to BJS statistics (as compiled by MPP) approximately TWO percent of federal prisoners are in for marijuana possession.
Approximately 2300 of the 107000 federal prisoners are in for marijuana possession.
I do not need to argue numbers with you about the percentage. You can think it is 2% or 60%, it hardly matters. You think there should be more, and I think there should be less.
Back to the point of my 1st post. I think the SENTENCE for marijuana crimes is not proportional, especially in light of cases like this one.
I am sure to you, the danger to society by the pot smoker and the child rapist are the same - but to thinking men, they are very different.
Just because I caught you lying about the statistics inorder to promote your pro-drug agenda ....
You mean how you lied about the statistics?
It was not me that diluted; but YOU that inflated the statistics to further your pro-drug agenda.
MORE PRO-DRUG PROPAGANDA ALERT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Calculations based on recent BJS reports suggest that, at any one time, 59,300 prisoners charged with or convicted of violating marijuana laws (3.3% of the total incarcerated population) are behind bars, at a total cost to taxpayers of some $1.2 billion per year. They represent almost 12% of the total federal prison population and about 2.7% of the state prison population. Of the people incarcerated in federal and state prison and in local jails, 37,500 were charged with marijuana offenses only and an additional 21,800 with both marijuana offenses and other controlled-substance offenses. Of the marijuana-only offenders, 15,400 are incarcerated for possession, not trafficking.

"Applied to the previously calculated estimates, as adjusted for the June 1998 prisoner counts, there would be 7,400 state prisoners and 2,300 federal prisoners incarcerated for marijuana possession only, for a total of 9,700 prisoners."
NO I HAVE NOT!
