Who are they exporting to at this time?Shh. Some of the oil has come to the US. But we don't dare talk about it, because that just gives fuel to the fire about Bush wanting the war for oil.
They're really putting it on the world market. All of the importing nations benefit.

I'm not sure about now...but just the military operations were launched in
the spring-time, something interesting appeared in the Business section of The Los
Angeles Times.
I can't remember the statistics, but the take-home of the article was that some
California refineries used Iraqi "sour" crude. That might be one reason (besides
just pacifist ideology) for Californians oppossing the war: they want to keep
gasoline for their Benz, Beemers, and Land Rovers as cheap as possible.
