A lot of the "why" links don't work anymore, and some of these seem a bit of a stretch. For example, I didn't really see anything in the "why" for Dana Carvey that would justify labelling him as "right," other than that he performed for Bush Sr. and Bush thought he was funny.

...I just visited the Sharon Osbourne "See why" link. She may or may not be a conservative but you will not learn that from reading the "See why" link on her.
..."Say a prayer for the American and British troops" does not make her a conservative.

"Box" Boxleitner is a admitted conservative and I believe his wife (Melissa Gilbert) is as well. I remember when she got caught up with some of the SAG hags when she ran for Screen Actor's Guild president.

Unfortunately, if you take out the country stars, the NASCAR boys, the football players, and the "reaches," the list gets a lot shorter.

The list looks a lot longer when you throw in all these athletes and ex-athletes. They aren't Hollywood types so there's no reason for them to be pressured into being liberals. I don't equate that with the same courage it takes to be a James Woods or a Patricia Heaton in Hollywood.
I'd also exclude folks over 70. Most of them aren't still working in Hollywood so they don't have to worry about their gravy train drying up.
And, like some of the others, there are some names here that just don't ring true - although I wouldn't call somebody a "righty" just over one blurb in a newspaper or because they thought it expedient to say something supportive of our troops. By that standard, 1/3rd (and sadly just 1/3rd) of the Democrat presidential candidates could be called "righties".

...This from Charles Barkley, the "conservative":
...Barkley grew even bolder, more in-your-face. He'd inherited leadership of the 76ers from the courtly Erving, and distanced himself from what he saw as just so much kiss-ass demeanor. He began conferring with Jesse Jackson and labeled himself a "'90s nigga -- we do what we want to do." Visits to the Philadelphia locker room were the stuff of great theater, as Barkley continued to castigate the press and a city still divided by race. "Just because you give Charles Barkley a lot of money, it doesn't mean I'm going to forget about the people in the ghettos and slums," he lectured. "Y'all don't want me talking about this stuff, but I'm going to voice my opinions. Me getting 20 rebounds ain't important. We've got people homeless on our streets and the media is crowding around my locker. It's ludicrous." He called Philly a "racist city" and told the press to "kiss my black ass -- even though your lips might stink." He vowed, "I'm a strong black man -- I don't have to be what you want me to be," echoing an Ali line from the '60s after he read Thomas Hauser's oral history of the boxing great. When I told him I was writing a magazine profile of Erving, he dismissed the legend: "Man, I ain't got no time to talk about no Uncle Tom."

Lenny DykstraWith 'Nails' on our side we got nothing to worry about. Now for the real question: What about John Kruk?

This list might be slightly padded. Mick Hucknall of Simply Red? Just because he supported the overthrow of Sadaam does not make him a conservative.

I didn't see BraBra Streisand, Michael Moore, Woody Harrelson, Ted Danson, Bobby Redford, or Martin Sheen on the list. I heard they turned conservative last night after they realized they've been hypocrits and have been accidentally pushing socialism all along. Did I somehow get that wrong.....??

I'd like to think Andrew Dice Clay should be on the list. The reaction of the leftists on SNL when he hosted could be a 'here's why' if his act wasn't enough.

I haven't checked all of the links, but Trisha Yearwood said on a talk show she loved the Clintons (while they were in the White House, maybe she changed her mind).
Doing a concert for the troops doesn't necessarily make you a righty. Sometimes it's just a gig.

I can't believe all of these. Just because someone wasn't against the war in Iraq doesn't make them conservative.
I always thought Dennis Hopper was, but I saw a week or two ago that he was hosting a fundraiser for John Edwards at his house.
Rob Loew? Wasn't he caught bopping that teeny-bopper on video in 1988 while attending the Democrat convention?

Former L.A. Laker A.C. Green is listed. I believe he claims to be a virgin, or to be celibate...not sure which.

Arsenio Hall?????????? Did he have some conversion since 1992 when he went all out on his show every night for BJ?
