[history]
Twelve people were injured last night, five of them seriously, when the van they were riding in rolled over on an Interstate 10 offramp east of Tucson.
Sgt. Don Quaintance of the state Department of Public Safety said the van rolled as it exited I-10 onto Marsh Station Road about 8:20 p.m.

Read the third paragraph
"The driver of the vehicle apparently fled, said Quaintance, adding that the passengers, all from Mexico, were identified through voter registration cards."
This is unbelievable - these illegal aliens already had voter id cards - who says they need driver licenses to vote. We need to start enacting laws to stop illegals from recieving benefits and punish companies that hire them. The illegals are only doing what they can get away with, I dont blame them, but the politicians that allow this to happen.

The voter ID cards is what caught my eye. That is scary. That is my number one concern for 2004.

"The driver of the vehicle apparently fled, said Quaintance, adding that the passengers, all from Mexico, were identified through voter registration cards." United States or Mexican voter registration cards?

Amazing.
I just read the headline in breaking news and from that alone thought "I wonder how they'll sidestep the fact that these were illegal aliens?"

Sadly they are recieving most of the benefits from the government that refuses to enforce it's own immigration laws.

The driver of the vehicle apparently fled, said Quaintance, adding that the passengers, all from Mexico, were identified through voter registration cards. Isn't that wonderful. Non-citizens with voter registration cards. Wonder how many are registered Republican?
And this, reported ironically in the Tucson Citizen.

If you lived in Tucson you'd send your prayers to the citizens that are routinely killed and injured by these law breakers that drive recklessly and kill anyone and anything that it in their path when they are trying to get away. It is a crime that this statistic is not reported but wrecks caused by illegals are incredibly high and often deadly. All while the politicians look the other way.

the men were at the top of the ramp and had started a fire to alert motorists of the accident.Another weird thing about this story. I hate when news stories say things like that and then don't explain, as if it were normal behavior.

He said the driver of the 1992 Chevrolet Astro van apparently tried to take a turn too fast. He did not know how many times the van, carrying 10 males and two females, rolled, or how fast the vehicle was going.A 1992 Chevrolet Astro van with 12 people riding in it??? Not very smart, as this van is made for eight people.

adding that the passengers, all from MexicoSurprise surprise surprise. And there will be lawsuits on each one of them --- signs aren't in Spanish or whatever. Their families at least are now set for life.

I think it would be the IFE card from Mexico ---- Mexico uses the IFE card as proof of identity ----- certainly not the matricula card. Sometimes Guatemalans make the mistake of obtaining false birth certificates to travel through Mexico ---- and that's what gets them caught --- they don't know enough to also get a fake IFE card.

How much did it cost the taxpayers to send 5 HELICOPTERS to rescue these invading leeches? And then to pay for medical care for 12 accident victims?
To: FITZ
Maybe but I wouldnt bet on it. The Tucson Citizen is very liberal (but not as liberal as the AZ Daily Star) and it is possible that they didnt state which because they knew if they said US voter cards there would have been alot of libs angry that they reported the truth.
