Oh, I noticed it. The fact that he has 'stopped hating' Bush is good, but it doesn't undo the fact that he prefers the mindset he speaks of.
Indeed, I don't think the article suggests that he stopped feeling those things. Rather, it suggests that as a legacy of the 9-11 and war on terror, he 'stopped hating' the president.
It's still clear to me anyway what he really thinks.
