"All Americans must recognize that the face of terror is not the true faith -- face of Islam. Islam is a faith that brings comfort to a billion people around the world. It's a faith that has made brothers and sisters of every race. It's a faith based upon love, not hate."

President Bush is not a preacher, but an official of our government, sworn to uphold the Constitution, a part of which protects the free exercise of religion. He is an official of all Americans, not just for Methodists.

If you think you know better than President Bush on how to run the country and win the war against terrorism, then by all means throw your hat into the ring under the banner of the Knuckle-Draggers Party. We won't be holding our breaths, though.

How about having a little Christian hope out there? How about accepting the fact that as Christians we are hospitable and have good will for others? To claim that an honorable man such as George Bush doesn't have any good sense is a statement worthy of the Left.

Ladies and gentlemen, the President of the United States:

"According to Muslim teachings, God first revealed His word in the Holy Qur'an to the prophet, Muhammad, during the month of Ramadan. That word has guided billions of believers across the centuries, and those believers built a culture of learning and literature and science. All the world continues to benefit from this faith and its achievements."

Oh brother...give us a break. First, as our leader, hes not obligated to do what hes doing and he should stop. In the end he'll be made a fool for what hes doing. There are times its just better to say nothing. This is one of those times. Secondly, my hope isnt in him. Honorable men can be honorable but still have lapses. As for the left comment, if you cant stand the heat get out of the kitchen.

Well, I understand your criticism, but I also understand your President, who is elected to be the President for all Americans. He surely tries to show the world and his Muslim fellow-citizen, that it´s not the religion the US are fighting, but the criminal followers of that religion.

He would have more enemies if he had chosen not to greet Muslims at Ramadan.

Much to the dismay of many, the office of the President of the United States of America, is just that. That means ALL Americans. Every religion, even atheists, every ethnic group, pro-life, pro abortion, all the different cultures even all political party members, who have chosen the US as their home. The President is President of all US residents.
I do recall President Bush's remarks concerning winning people over "one-heart-at-a-time"
As a Christian, I also remember reading in The Bible that Jesus spent more time with sinners than followers because they needed salvation all the more. Does a healthy man need a doctor?
How is a Muslim in America to know any different viewpoint than the one they've been taught, if never exposed to different views?
It is not dangerous to listen to different views and opinions. It is dangerous to try to silence those who peacefully disagree with you.

Exactly right and just why I left the Methodist church. A church that won't stand for anything, will also fall for anything. I loved my Methodist Church and the people in it but there was little spiritual growth there. Too bad.

There is such a demonic spirit behind Ramadan and Islam. Why is anyone inviting this spirit in anywhere? I just don't understand what he's trying to do. I suppose as President he has to show no partiality but I think this is spiritually dangerous for him and this nation.

"I loved my Methodist Church and the people in it but there was little spiritual growth there."

I would say that the "people in it" ARE the Church.

As per your tag-line, "GOD is still in control!" With this I agree. But it is my understanding that a church denomination or building is not the "Church".

The actual Church consists of the body of Believers regardless of where they congregate.

The actual Church is God ordained and doesn't meet in any one geographical location. The real Church resides in one's heart, mind and spirit. And a Church service is whereever one or more like minded gather.

Since Religions are man-made. And since man cannot agree on anything, that results in all manner of man-made religions. All claiming to hold the truth.

There are truths and deceptions in all religions to differing degrees.

Believe me when I say I'm not trying to preach religion to anyone or debate theology or argue with your beliefs. Your statement just seemed so sad to me about loving the people you left. To me it is all about Loving the people. God Bless.

I know that the true church is the body of believers. But some of them are Methodists and so many of the Methodist churches are not getting the gospel of Jesus Christ. That's all I'm saying. I was sorry to leave that church and those particular people because I cared for them. Unfortunately, when you leave, sometimes people don't want to fellowship anymore. I've seen that happen over and over again. If you don't believe their way, you are OUT, period. THAT is what's sad.

How odd it is that a portrait of President Lincoln who freed the slaves towers over a people who want to enslave the world.

Search me.

Bummer. I was hoping for at least one. Thus far, the only contributions I've seen from the Muslim world are burqas and suicide bombers. The last useful thing I found of theirs in history was the invention of the Arabic numeral system...but they changed it to something else when it was adopted by the West.

Ask our Heroic President.

Alas, as much as I love & respect him, I don't think I could take another "Islam is a religion of peace and tolerance" monologue...

SHALOM!

Hi...Spectacualrbid2003 and Salem,

I agree with You 100%.

This is very, very Sad that the:"Religion of Peace"...NOT, is being honored...while our Men and Women in Uniform are being Slaughtered by the very same people who are also from the:"Religion of Peace".

ISLAM is NOT a Religion of Peace, it is a Religion / Life Style of DEATH and DESTRUCTION, it Always has been and Always will be.

That is the simple TRUTH and No one can change that, No matter how hard they Wish or Try.

The ONLY ONE who can change the Hearts and Mind set of those who Follow and worship the PAGAN Moon god, is JESUS CHRIST The Holy One of ISRAEL!

HE will Draw Men unto Himself.

May The LIVING GOD of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob Bless and Protect our TROOPS in Iraq and all over the World, as they Give their ALL to Keep Us SAFE and FREE!

GOD BLESS AMERICA THE LAND OF THE FREE and THE HOME OF THE BRAVE!
