Thanks for posting this.

I'm saving it to attach to everyone of these downside reports gleefully posted by the 5th columnists of FR. As far as I'm concerned they have blood on their hands too!

The GI's message continued, "We are winning this war and the only way we can lose this is if the American people lose their nerve and that's because of what's going on in the American media."

Well, the media is trying its best to lose it, after all, that is what they want.

"I just want you to know that there's blood on the hands of the American media; that my men and women are going to die because of them."

... and the Democrat politicians. Don't forget the Democrat politicians.

It's not that we have forgotten the lessons of Vietnam. It's just that the Liberals are determined to repeat them!

That link about Bernard Goldberg and Dan Rather doesn't work..for me. Sure sounds intriguing!

I'm glad to hear that Rep. King and Hannity are getting the word to the public.

Robert Kaplan wrote a book not too long ago, I think it was published just before 9-11, and he said that in the 'next war' it would be with primitive, loosely-confederated terrorists, AND that what would undermine a President defending America would be the LIBERAL MEDIA.

He said the media consider themselves the fourth arm of government and would demand to make policy, and that the only way to wage war successfully would be to KEEP THE MEDIA OUT OF THE LOOP, PERIOD!

Well, I'd say he's exactly right. And Rep. King's words prove it.

I have family fighting in Iraq, and friends, and children of friends. It infuriates me that the liberal media put these people at needless risk of death and injury!

The mainstream media is PRAYING for our war on terror to have the same result as Vietnam. I have despised the media since the late 60's and NOT ONE THING has changed in the 35+ years since. They still are ANTI-AMERICAN at their core.

I didn't know Pete King had this in him, but I'm kind of ashamed that I was surprised. Defending the Toon's sexual behavior is one thing, covering up media complicity in a lerger body count is entirely another.

Kick butt, Congressman. those boys need all the help they can get.

"Iraqi people are being dissuaded from cooperating with the American forces because of the terrible coverage back here," King said"
"What the media doesn't show is that the rest of Baghdad is traffic jams, markets open . . . you would have thought you were in midtown Manhattan," the New York Republican contended.

I have NEVER seen pictures on TV of Traffic jams and Open Markets. It's despicable that the media hides this.

What I don't think that the media seems to realize (or maybe they really do...) is that when they keep spouting off about what a dunce President Bush is, that's picked up by the foreign press, and passed on to the foreign populations... When all they dwell on are "anti-war" protests in the US, the foreign press passes this on as "normal" in the US to the foreign population... So foreigners believe that we've got a dullard for a President, and that the people are completely against the war in Iraq... Then the US press reports how foreigners have no respect for the President (gee, I wonder why), and believe that the war is wrong...

They did the same thing to the US after the Tet offensive, making the public believe that the Viet Nam was was unwinnable, and they're trying to do the exact same thing here.

This would be Peter King, the man vilified as "RINO" over and over and over again on the pages of Free Republic.

I was wondering when someone would actually SAY it. The American media (not all - the lefties, which constitutes most, I'd say) have had American blood on their hands for a long time now.

Terrorists vote democrat.

Vietnam redux. I saw it then, and if the media continues on its present course, we will see the same thing in Iraq. It should not come as a surprise to anyone in America that the mainstream press (ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, NY Times, LA Times, SF Chronicle, ad nauseum) are vehemently anti-U.S. Those lepers experience some sort of sick sexual gratification at U.S. body counts. Damn them all to hell.

Thanks for posting this. It really is deeply troubling to watch the main stream media work so hard at spinning Iraq into another Viet Nam. And all for political gain for the leftist.

I am with the Col. 100% but the really disturbing part of this is that the media really doesn't give a rats a$$ about the lives of our military. Never have and never will.
