search google for "muslims denounce terrorism" and you'll find tons of statements, interviews, and writings by leading muslims denouncing terrorism and violence.
The Dept. of State maintains a list of denunciations by American Muslims at:

Agreed. Anyone who argues otherwise and advocates a war between civilizations is, according to Pat Buchanan, a witting or unwitting accomplice of Bin Laden.

Oddly, 90% of the links are just US State Dept. posts.
And some of the off-site links are dead.
And none of the "statements" I read disassociates Islam from violence.
The "unequivocal" denunciations of Sept 11 terror seem equivocal to me because:
a - The terrorists use of Islam as justification is not condemned;
b - Only the results are condemned (suggesting that different results might have warranted a different analysis).
c - Islam is not used to condemn the terror;
d - I've read unanswered arguments that show Islam and the Qu'ran allows (recommends?) equivocation in just such a manner.
Until all Islamic "leaders" (both political and religious) renounce terror AND teach that Islam doesn't allow such a weapon, then eternal vigilance seems wise.
