That's got to be the worst "professional" website I've seen. The least they could have done is have those cheesy icons roll over. And what's with that porn-looking dating service ad? Low class.

Hey, if a bunch of liberals wanted to pay me $1 million a year to talk to myself (and five of my best friends)on the radio, I'd take it. And after I'd made a couple of million I'd tell 'em just what I think of 'em, and "retire".
To: Recovering_Democrat
Well, he has the face for radio, that is for sure.

Rush started in Little Rock (Clinton country) on a small talk station and was later scopped up by the leading talk station in the city. At that time the main talk station had an openly liberal morning host on before Rush.
They finally had to drop the lib and replaced him with a libertarian who has captured the market. In other words, their position on issues does matter. The libertarian often has unpopular opinions but seems to be genuine. Spouting DNCrap talking points won't work because it wouldn't be real. And a real liberal just isn't worth listening to because they don't have anything positive to say.
I hope they spend their 1.8 million and try to draw advertisers. That way we know which companies support rats and can try to avoid purchasing their products.

<< Absolutely. Plus, if this guy were so entertaining, he wouldn't be in the Fargo market to begin with. >>
And not even that market's leader.
Loss-leader, maybe.
Not only has no-one outside of the Fargo area ever heard of him, nor have most in it.
Should run him in the "DemocRATic" potty's prezidentialle primaries. No-one who is not himself running knows the name of any member of that gang, too.

Just watched Frances in City by the Sea last night. Made me homesick for Fargo. Think I'll go rent it.

I suspect that when libs complain about conservatism being "jammed down the throats" of Americans, they probably have to work very hard to control their urge to laugh at the idiocy of their own statement. Liberalism has been crammed down our gullets for over forty years with nary a peep from traditional conservative voices. Now when things are more in our favor (but still a distinct minority view) , the libs can't take it. It's not that they dislike a particular conservative message, it's that they can't stand ANY conservative message getting out to the populace.

The Dems in your state are probably like most of the ones in mine: socially conservative and largely union, but prone to the charms of the Donkey Party political whores who know how to pitch their message to that one issue that will get the Dem sheep to vote for them.

LOL! The perfect picture to depict this new radio personality. Is he related to Bernard Shultz of Loral, I wonder? Regardless....
"There's this conservative mantra that's being jammed down the throats of the American people, and the other side of the story is not being told."
Yes. I run out to my car every lunch break, rain or snow, eagerly turn on the radio for half an hour, so I can have something crammed down my throat by Rush. Then after work, I drive home to get Hannity crammed down my throat, passing up all those great hard rock songs I would otherwise be listening to.
The reason I listen to them is they go in-depth, unlike liberals, who always stop talking when their toe touches the water, or rant about suspicions without any substance to their claims. Or they come up with some wild accusation that's refuted within two weeks or less. The only things that stuck were nowhere near Chinagate, Tainted Blood, partial birth abortion, Ron Brown, Vince Foster, Waco, the wildfires, etc.

That green dinosaur you posted, that's NPR. I hope they try to create another NPR with our tax money. LOL. I'm not sure even rats are that stupid.

I agree. But think Al probably flunked the "talk to the callers test". Hard to believe a hate filled yuppie like Franken (from Havard dont ya know) could relate to the average talk show listner.
And of course any conservative caller would get a earful of abuse. Since Franken cant reason with them - the name calling would be get tiresome, very fast.

Do you remember when WDAY once had its famous call-in show Viewpoint hosted by a flaming liberal? His name was Bob Arndt, if I recall. A committed McGovernick, he cut people off mid sentance, argued with callers who didn't parrot his points of view and initially attracted a fairly good audience because this type of confrontation was a novelty to the mild-mannered, polite culture of the upper Midwest.
As the novelty wore off, however, so did Arnt's ratings. He moved to Minneapolis to head up some lefftwingg advocacy group and WDAY brought in a host who was more respectful of his listeners.
I beleive Ed Schultz gained his fame as a sportscaster and when KFGO, WDAY's major rival in the media market, decided to take on the popular format of Viewpoint, Schultz jumped ship with the idea that he could bring back the novelty that wore off when Arnt left nearly a quarter century ago. Fargo and the neighboring community of Moorhead are home to three fair-sized universities which provide much of the employment for the small but vocal liberal wacko nut-job element which exists in an otherwise typical midwestern metro area.

I seem to remember ultra-commie Boyd Christenson also hosted Viewpoint for a while; I think he started when Ed left - I was po'ed because Ed was conservative and Boyd was just the opposite.

Seriously, what happened to Al Franken, Mario Cuomo,LOL, Mario Cuomo. I used to listen to his radio show when I lived in upstate NY in the early 90's. He was such a condescending Pr**k, even the NY libs couldn't stand him. He was Alan Colmes without the niceness. Anyone who disagreed with Mario, was, of course, obviously an unenlightened NRA gun-loving redneck beer-gutted ignorant racist selfish incompassionate fool. It was good for a laugh because most of the callers were telling Mario how full of $**+ he is.
Colmes' radio show was also on the air there, and it's still going, because even though he's usually full of it, he's a nice guy. I've read he's even gotten some death threats lately for agreeing with some of the Bush policies. Hannity's Insanity, the 5-second sound bites during the last minute of his program...Hannity either borrowed or stole that from Colmes. Colmes was doing that back then. He calls it "Radio Graffiti", and it's a riot.

I think this is a great idea - it will siphon off money the Dims would otherwise spend on campaigns, and there's no spot in this country but the two coasts where anyone will listen to it.
Well, maybe the NPR crowd...
