He seems to have a conscience. Or at least a sense of decency.

I believe this man can be rehabilitated.

He's got some guts & his heart must be in the right place

While it would seem the burglar might have a conscience, I believe that had one of the pictures not been of his own sister, this story would be very different. I do not believe he should be praised for his actions. It would seem revenge is his motive and that is hardly a trait of any man of good character.

How do you know justice isn't his motive? After all, he did expose himself to prosecution by turning over the pictures.
