You are correct. The damage done to the environment by the former Soviet Union was astounding.

Bump
We must ...... return to wilderness millions of tens of millions of acres of presently settled land. Iow, they must destroy all private property. ....And do they propose to do this with their "positive vibes," or do they plan on picking up weapons?

The ecofreaks must be made to pay for their role in the California devastation. Let's hope that forest management is going to change.

Not to mention Saddam Hussein's Iraq. Saddam in 1991 purposefully created an oil spill TWENTY times the size of the Exxon Valdez spill as retribution against Kuwait and Saudi Arabia.
Never mind the oil well fires or the draining of the Shi'ite marshlands.
Never once saw an environmentalist protest or even consider these facts in terms of their opinion about the Iraq war, or capitalism.

At the risk of being branded an America-hater, let me add that, according to a
Boston Globe article from 1999, the worst polluter is . . the United States Government.
Why am I not surprised?

Everything we have developed over the last 100 years should be destroyed. Pentti Linkola
Even VW Vans, Grateful Dead records, and G-Graphics bongs?

Every time you turn on an electric light, you are making another brainless baby. Helen Caldicott, Union of Concerned ScientistsI think Helen should drop her clothes, walk out into the middle of a dirt field, and stay there until she dies. That way, she won't have to feel guilty about the fact everything she has is due to exploitation of energy resources. I didn't know a scientist could be such a full-blown idiot.

Human beings, as a species, have no more value than slugs. John Davis, editor of Earth First! Journal
This guy's guilty of attributing to a whole species what he sees in the mirror.

Phasing out envirowhackos like this moron would unquestionably have the salubrious effect of allowing normal humans to get on with their lives.

Heh - I'd love to see them try that on me. I'd like to know how the invasion justified creating the oil spill AFTER the conclusion of the 1991 war, and the lighting of oil fires as they -fled- Kuwait, and the attempted genocide of Shi'ites in Iraq by draining the marshlands.
If even a single one of those could be considered as having some sort of strategic military relevance, some way to help him win against an invasion - okay, maybe I could see it. But there is none. The only justification for their belief that capitalism has yielded worse environmental results than regimes under Saddam is, well, simple full blown insanity.

Nah, you're not an America-hater, you're just a clod.
Why? Because you evidently have taken at face value an article in the Boston Glob. Bwfaa and snort to you.

Specialization.LOL. Then why waste all that money on an education? Idiocy can easily be self-taught, right at home.
