I heard,...what happened to the reporter in Julian who wasn't responding to everybody's order to get out?


Last time I was in Julian, I approached from Borrego Springs and I was impressed by how difficult it was to get there and how many serpantine roads approached the town from the west,....I wouldn't want to wait to see flames before departing, might not make out of the serpentine roads for egress.

If he's not gone, he just lost one of his escape routes. Fire burning on both sides of Sunrise Highway now. Winds gusting to 40 mph again. Forest Service Supervisor (they're actually running that area) reports Cuyamaca "pretty much gone".

That wind news is majorly not good.
