Just to explain last scanner blip, first segment was re: Arrowhead/Crestline fire. Second was a 'be apprised' notice, most of which was staticky except for that segment.

For the record: I keep seeing airplanes heading in the general direction of LAX. They may be taking flights.

Hey Not bad first dipshi* in 4,000 posts or there abouts.
There should be an official FR vanity "Grunters" thread and link for all the posters who go to intense subject threads just to show their a**H***s.
How are the winds? I am just getting back from shift.. I will get busy and read up.
Prayers for no winds and humidity/rain continue.
Jay Leno said it is so smokey in S.Cali that the only place to get away from it is the Bars.
To: oceanperch
Sometimes, I really like Leno...
From my location (Glendora, CA - west of where the most western end of the Grand Prix fire was), there is currently no wind at all. Hasn't been for a couple hours.

Fire officials inquired as to whether there were still strike teams in Devore; two strike teams still there.

Thanks for redirecting me to the new thread.

Am fading really badly now. Think I'm going to call it a night, folks.
Good luck to those of you still in the vicinity of fires. If you have any more reports (scanner or otherwise), please-please-please post them to the news-only fire thread (still dated the 27th, alas)... I'd like to keep that thread running.
I'll likely make a new news-only fire thread tomorrow.

SB scanner: 5474 N. Sepulveda, page 546-H5 on Thomas Bros. map: Fire in backyard of this home. This is near the Simi Valley fire.
(Okay, so I figured I ought to post that before sleep, too.)

Thanks for your updates and hard work. Just knowing you are able to sit there in Glendora and not having to run for your life has been a comfort for us here. Many family friends and love ones are in the areas of Glendora, Azusa and La Verne.
Also going to bed. Will be in prayer for you all. . .God bless.

That'd be the La Jolla tribe - their tribal enterprise is a campground in a heavily-forested area. As far as I understand it, their fire crews have been actively working fires around SD county.
Okay. Really, really goin' to bed now.
