Yes, but I don't want you to lose your cabin, either.

It's very calm here but KFI just said the wind is picking up in the mountains.Several references to gusty winds have popped up on scanners tonight, too (up there)

I was kind of tired how they were playing up the Stevensons Ranch drumroll to destruction....there was clearly half a mile of development dirt directly north of the development....most of Santa Clarita has tree restrictions and paseos lined with that non burnable plants....they played the camera angles like the fire was right on the houses...

Thanks. Believe me...I don't either. It just seems so small and petty for me to worry about a weekend getaway when people are losing their homes and lives. My worries seem so small compared to that.

I spent a week in Palm Desert once at a convention. I couldn't believe the gorgeous colors on the rocky mountains at sunset & sunrise. I always thought that if one had to live in a desert, that would be the place. (then I ended up in Palllllmdale, what a shock that was)
But now I'm out of the tracts and into the Mohave. I'll take more pics tomorrow. We don't see roadrunners much, but a couple of quail families live here, and cottontails. I hear coyotes out in the distance some nights.

they are sending 15 engines to Cajon Staging, to reinforce the 138 and Silverwood Lake area...USFS is mad there is no fire engines sitting at their HQ....

Hendrie is based at KFI for these shows. Where does he usually tape?
To: webvanca
