Initially he was doing it for the dough, and to make sure she stays quiet about what happened the day of her "accident", but I am sure that he has realized that he is a "celebrity" of the right to die (kill) club now and is looking to cash in on that.
You can expect a ghost-written book with his name on it to appear soon, plus paid speaking engagements, etc., to crop up in the future.

You're right ... he acted like a snide scumbag, sneared at the question about "Why not just let her parents take the burden .. you go on with your life?" ... I thought he was disgusting!! Especially LOVED (NOT!!!!) the "right to lifers" comments liberally sprinkled in . I'm sure well scripted by Felon-us, his lawyer. I didn't detect ONE ounce of sincerity in any of his "I love my wife" statements .. wish there had been more anti-death calls. Don't people see what's going on here?? The book, movie to follow ... let's see .. Susan Sarandon: yeah, that's the ticket. BARF!!
