>>>A MONOPOLY IS A MONOPOLY

FOX, Rush, et al. on the right. NY Times, CNNCBSABC, et al. on the left. Thats competition, not monopoly.

Yeah, I was somewhat disappointed that they mentioned Lucianne.com but not FreeRepublic too. OTOH, I'm happy enough about the continuing effect to not quibble with articles examining the causes.

It'll be a hard road back, and it may not be possible to restore what we've lost, but it's worth the fight, and it's heartening to see some signs of the turnaround that we've struggled for for so long.

makes me wonder if some posters on FR are part of "truth" squads of various political candidates or groups.

Do you mean that in the good sense, or in the negative sense?

"We have gone beyond the point of no return. American no longer exists."

Sometimes I agree with you (when something particularly obnoxious happens), but I think you're giving up much too quickly. We -just- broke the monopoly of the Left. Our views are getting a fair hearing for the first time, and a LOT of people are being convinced. The words "black conservative" are no longer just an oxymoron. Individual dignity is making a comeback. We've actually routed the Dems in the last few elections.

Actually, I believe that 2004 may very well yield a filibuster-proof Republican majority. THEN watch the liberal house of cards implode.

It's waaaayyyy too early to give up. Just imagine how utterly the Left will be humiliated if Bush succeeds in what he's doing in Iraq. Of course, they'll never admit they were wrong, but now, finally, there will be dozens of news outlets that will point it out for them.

Have some faith, man. Things are getting better. When you ponder if we're "past the point of no return", don't look at where we -are-, look at the direction things are headed. Right now, they're headed toward the right in most ways. I know it can be tempting to believe that it won't swing nearly far enough back, but in my optimistic moments I have to admit that there's no real basis to believe that it can't.

>>> YOUR USE OF THE WORD "HATE" IS VERY REVEALING.

>>> We have been very well "conditioned" to use it, and we do so always.

>>> Its use prevents real thinking and communication.......with eachother, as well as the "terrifying and terrible".....THEM!!

What would you call it? What would you call booing and hissing at the Boy Scouts at the Democrat National Convention? Or spitting on the honor gaurd at the New York State Democrat Convention? If that ain't hate, what is it?

Some liberals are full of hate. That is the "Reality."

By the way, what is a "REAL CONSERVATIVE?"

I keep thinking about all the Freepers who continually whined and posted that there is no difference between the two parties. Still think that?

.....
.....
".......Some liberals are full of hate. That is the "Reality." ......."
~~~~
~~~~
..."some" liberals ARE full of hate.......
.....but that is surely not the defining quality of liberalism.

...."some" of any group are full of hate.
~~~
~~~
Therefore:
"....That is the "Reality." ......."

...is too sweeping a statement.....("THE reality"!!!)
~~~
~~~
".......If that ain't hate, what is it? ....."

A RUSE BY THE.....CENTRAL POWER STRUCTURE....TO DIVIDE THE POPULACE INTO A LIB/CONSERV DICHOTOMY THAT IS REALLY NON-EXISTANT.....IN ORDER TO STIFLE DEBATE ON REAL ISSUES.

Steel Eye.......

Your use of the word "hatred" in your post.....(I can't remember now the full array....but it included .....Bush, Ahnold....etc)

was certainly an vast extention from your examples of the liberal's hate used in your post.

ARE YOU AGAINST ALL HATREDS........?

(even your own?)
~~~~~
~~~~~
My reference to REAL CONSERVATIVE was meant as a challenge to those who seem to be saying that it is nothing more that a reference to those who hate the hatred of the liberals!!!!

WE MUST HAVE SOMETHING MORE SUBSTANTIVE TO SAY!!!

.......yet we don't.

This is a shame. I call it the result of "conditioning".....which is leading ALL AMERICANS to just be subservient to the prevaling Powers.

Some of them have gotten noiser than ever. It seems that certain people have the expectation that if GOPer were "really" different from the Dems, that 40 years of liberalism would have been reversed overnight.

Why do certain posters seem to think that their posts should have some kind of bizarre poetic quality rather than simply explain their thoughts in a straighforward manner?

..."some" liberals ARE full of hate....... .....but that is surely not the defining quality of liberalism.

It's turning into it. Since the shifts in the political/news structure outlined in the above article started taking place, the mainline liberals have grown increasingly shrill, slanderous, and vitrolous in their attacks on not only the right, but on moderate America. "The voters have thrown a temper tantrum . . ." is a prime example.

.....IN ORDER TO STIFLE DEBATE ON REAL ISSUES.

First of all, get rid of the caps and the unneccesary ellipses in your posts. It gives the impression that you're foaming incoherantly at the mouth.

Secondly, which "real issues" exactly are being stifled?

...
".....Thats competition, not monopoly....."
~~~
~~~
That you use the words:

"....on the left......."
"....on the right......"

is proof that we are being conditioned to think only in terms of a dichotomy of ideas and then......as if it were merely a "sporting event"......to "choose" sides.

AND , of course.....a pre-picked "slate" of......

those from "the left"...or
those from "the right".....

to choose from!!

WHO OWNS THE NETWORKS!!!
GENERALLY SPEAKING......ALL THE SAME PEOPLE!!!!

The "news" is such a small spectrum of events....
and the "ideas" concerning them...
it's laughable.

We must get "out-of-the-box" and see the box and resist the "boxers".....

Surely this is something worthy of our lives and our live's efforts
