I've now reached the conclusion that no cable TV news outlet is a reliable source for pertinent information for our community, our family, or our entire state.
I'm disgusted by the lack of coverage by the cable TV outlets.
I refuse to call them "major".
After this week, they look MINOR.
Free Republic looked MAJOR because Free Republic did more to coordinate people and get info out.

I know not much info. Thank God for Freepers! In regard to FEMA at least that came from the President himself.

there is the answer.....we bombard Brit/Fox with
........ONE QUESTION................
WHY ,Fox did all cable and networks avoid
the fire story......WHY ?

If one of the cable news channels went to full time coverage of the fires, and did it well with constantly updated maps and identified filming rather than just talking heads, they'd grab massive viewer share. But they have not learned a thing from the popularity of freeway car chases. Instead, they believe news to be a pretty face with the lips moving.

I simply don't understand the lack of coverage. This is far, far bigger than Laci Peterson, Chandra Levy, Kobi Bryant, Elizabeth Smart, and similar stories that garnered news alerts every few minutes. Maybe if someone dropped the hint that a crazed sex maniac started these fires, the cable companies would become interested. At least that's the common thread (sex) I see in the stories they do choose to cover.

KFI reporting that fire has jumped highway 18. Also says they're looking for two young white males in a gray van who were in the area on Saturday. One of them threw a device out of the window. So much for the old news..
Just talked to a woman in Big Bear who said things are clear there, but that her gas station yesterday ran out of fuel. Should be a warning to Mountain folks.
