It's obvious that these were arson caused; some thoughts.

If it were al-queada they'd be trumpeting their 'successful attack on the oppressor infidels..." all over the place. Probably will in any event.

Had to be more than two guys in a grey and blue van. Too many fires and too much chance for being seen and caught.

If it were ELF they would be laying real low considering the death count and the economic damage to individuals. They are anti economy and anti business terrorists, killing people is only a byproduct and killing lots of people would be counter productive.

Possible that we will see some kind of statement claiming a splinter group ran out on their own and pulled this off.

Or, that several nutzo kids saw one fire and decided they wanted one of their own, all without coordination.

None of those options sounds too likely to me, yet.

Simi fire HAS jumped the 118 fwy -- voluntary evacuations of nearby homes at this time

CBS-2 says Lake Arrowhead is under serious threat at this time but who knows if they know what the hell they're saying

How long did it take AQ to claim responsibility after 9/11?

I agree, it has to be more than two guys in one van. I don't know what to think. It does seem like AQ would add more, like a car bomb downtown or something.

I'm not familiar with the roads either....the map I have is only showing 215 and main hwy's. Anyone know where Perris fits into all this? Thanks for all the updates.

Simi fire HAS jumped the 118 fwy -- voluntary evacuations of nearby homes at this time I'm flipping between CBS2/NBC4/ABC7/Fox11 (thanks DirecTV); those "voluntary" evacuations are pretty much manditory now. The fire that has hopped the 118 is literally at the doorsteps of the homes.
All four stations are showing shots of the flames approaching the homes VERY rapidly. If you are anywhere near these subdivisions, I emplore you to get out now.

After a fire happens in a forest, not one of these tender box infernos, after the next rainy season, the new growth is incredible. Deer, rabbits, squirrels and elk (if they are around) go into these areas for the return of good green food.

The elite Watermelon Jihadists seldom do anything for the good of a forest, the people living around the forests and the critters in and around the forest.

I watch about an hour of Fox and Friends every morning before leaving for the office. There was virtually no coverage of the CA fires this morning other than a 30 second recap. Why this isn't news everywhere is beyond me. Thank you all for the updates.

The first rains will bring mudslides as all the top soil washes away with nothing to hold it down.
KFI is going to pre-empt whoever's subbing for Rush, and pre-empt Dr. Laura for live fire coverage

The only main land corridor in or out of the LA area is the I10. When I realized that, the tinfoil came out.

The big rains we have in California in the winter can be a disaster re flooding and massive mud flow down the hills.
