I must commend you for your consistent work on here with the fires. I usually do all of the hurricane stuff...that is my thang. You got this locked up good. Keep it up...its obvious that the networks don't give a shit.

Correction - I typoed. Chino Hills is off the 71, not the 91. 91's further south. :)

I drive it too, to my friends who live in Chino Hills, Claremont, Fontana, Rancho Cucamonga, Calimesa, Highland, Yucaipa....
Chino Hills is more off the 57/60/71....not the 91. You can take the 91 to the 71 to get to CH....but the long way.

Which are the links to listen online that would inform me what's going on in the 118/Topanga Cyn Blvd area? My ex's house is on the county line in the hills just north of the reservoir, and I'm starting to get concerned. I've been listening to some scanner online, but it is all news re San Bernardino area.
Thanks for all your work keeping everyone up to date. Praying for everyone in the area.

As I said a couple posts prior, I typoed - I corrected my typo and said the 71, not the 91.
But we're arguing apples and oranges. Point is that while CH is in a flammable region, the people there are still safe... well, except for the fact that they're breathing sludge. But that's true for anywhere in SoCal. :)

And you too...my God...the work you continue to do as well. Bravo...keep it coming
KNBC 4 (Los Angeles) reports that fire is approaching Lake Arrowhead, but has not entered the city itself yet. The hospital has been evacuated; patients have been moved to hospitals in Hesperia and other high desert communities.

FF reporting fire has gone over crest near Skyview
To: spectr17
35 homes now burned in Crestline area, CH 4 news We've been urgently sifting the news to try to figure out what's happening in Crestline. Our daughter and her fiancee have a house which is in the central part of town, about three blocks from the west end of Lake Gregory. They evacuated early Sunday morning, and we're all anxious as to whether they'll have a house to return to.
It appears that the Waterman portion of the fire is burning towards Lake Arrowhead and is not advancing on Crestline. The Devore fire on the west side of Crestline remains a concern, but the Playground fire burned away from Crestline so I'm hoping the Devore fire won't get past that.
Is this all reasonable based on what you know? Is there a new fire now springing up that directly threatens the heart of Crestline? Of course the entire town is a tinderbox, what with all the dead trees, so nothing will be safe until days from now when all the fires have been put out. But anything we can learn about imminent dangers would be greatly appreciated.

Skyview is in Valley of Enchantment, way far from the crest.....According to thomas guide....

Still doesn't mean that ELF has anything to do with these fires, though. They burnt a Hummer distributorship in West Covina, too, and have tried to set other fires... all at specific targets - car lots, poultry farms, apartment complexes... all city targets, incidentally.
All of the wildfires that're currently out there haven't started at a specific target, or even in a city... they've started in areas which have lots of tinder and can make a big fire. I've got my major disbelief issues that ELF has anything to do with it.

there is fire all around Crestline
FFs are hunkering down in Crestline and Lake Gregory to try and defend structures.
It all depends on the wind.
