KCAL 9 (Los Angeles) reporting on Old Waterman fire - they're looking for two men suspected of beginning this fire. 2000-2001 Chevy or Dodge van, grey in color with full-tint windows, 2 white males in their 20's. Last seen racing down Old Waterman Canyon Rd. north of Hwy 18. Passenger was seen throwing something out of the window.

Absolutely fascinating. My mom knows a lot about CA history and how the Indians would routinely burn or let burn. And ash is the most potent fertilizer; always after a fire there is lush greenery. Too bad eco-nuts don't take Hippocratic oaths, because their mistaken ideas do HARM.

Topanga canyon at the 118????? Do you mean the fire is there, or they have closed the 118 there? Yikes, that is near my old neighborhood. I had not heard anything about fire in the San Fernando valley as of yet.

(If my people... will humble themselves and pray...then will I hear...heal their land. 2Chron7:14)
from jmabbott888 on our forum,
If anyone has family up in the Ramona area up above San Diego my Neice says most with horses are up at the Copper Meadows equestrian center by the airport. She has been told to evacuate from 2 other places so far, once to get the horses this morning at 2am & the second to get here & the 13 year old she is watching out of their neighborhood at about 10 this morning. The fire is near their house or at least was a few hours ago when I talked to her, no idea if the house is still there though. Cell phones are still working up there so try that first before trying landlines to the sherriff, those guys are swamped right now.
