There is a big difference. We cannot racially profile. Palis look just like Syrians.

Mexicans are trying to cross into America to find a better life then the one they have. Arabs are coming trough Syria with hopes of killing Americans.
While both are wrong I prefer the former.

So it would seem that our intentional domestic "failings" are coming home to roost, and in fact, not only costing americans jobs, but lives as well.

He's got a point. It's a fairly long border, on a desert, so there are almost an infinite number of crossing points. I'm also guessing that there is a culture there of having a fairly porous borders, with lots of traffic between villages, etc. Not easy at all to shut down that border even if they wanted to do so.

That's a a hard one to rebut, so I predict it won't be rebutted.
I doubt anyone is going to come right out and say "because we don't try".
I imagine that nobody will address it, and it will be gone by the next news cycle.

Interesting that this came from the top, hours before the Ramadan Fiery Fullisade in Baghdad.

"If America, a rich superpower cannot stop Mexicans crossing into the United States, then how can we, a poor country, be expected to stop Palestinians getting into Iraq." As a Californian who has watched the environmental, economic, and cultural ruination of the state, largely due to excessive legal immigration and unenforced illegal immigraiton, I for once agree with the Syrian propagandists.

Syria says cannot stop militants entering Iraq - "If America cannot stop Mexicans..."
America says: Cannot stop US military bombing of Damascus into stoneage- "If Damascus cannot stop terrorist bombing of Jerusalem, Tel Aviv and Baghdad....."

ROFL, good come back. But unacceptable. I'm sure we know where the terrorist camps are in Syria, time to pay them a visit with a little shock an awe.

''If America, a rich superpower cannot stop Mexicans crossing into the United States, then how can we, a poor country, be expected to stop Palestinians getting into Iraq.''
This is not a fair argument, but rather a childish response. There is no correlation between the two circumstances. In Syria their people are crossing borders to KILL people. In the Mexico their people are crossing borders to work for money to feed their families. If Mass amounts of the Mexicans coming over the border were launching attacks on the US I bet we would close down those borders a lot tighter than they are now.
