First, thanks for the post. Second, I have seen no one argue that she is the victim of some chronic issue. If that is what you or this article are claiming it is new to me. Third, even if every item in this article is true (and that would be a rare thing in any case), it does not explain Michael's conduct on issues like his lack of treatment or his desire for immediate cremation.

It would seem that her long-term eating disorder (bulimia) lead to a potassium deficiency, which became sufficient after many year to cause heart failure (a thing that "happened catastrophically," to use your phrase) which in turn caused a relatively prolonged oxygen shortage, which in turn caused severe brain damage.
In any case, this seems to be a more likely and logical explanation for her current condition than the purely wild speculation ongoing here that her husband strangled her.
As to your saying "I have seen no one argue that she is the victim of some chronic issue," I have to agree. Much of the "arguments" present gere later have little to do with facts. Rather, more of those "arguing" try to avoid the facts.
