Shalom: France, Belgium giving $7 million to 'Geneva' group
By HERB KEINON
France and Belgium have pledged $7 million to the developers of the "Geneva Initiative" freelance peace plan drawn up by Israeli and Palestinian former government officials and politicians, Foreign Minister Silvan Shalom said Sunday.
Shalom told the weekly Cabinet meeting that the government has registered protests with the two countries for their support of this unofficial, non-government venture. He did not elaborate at the meeting on the nature of the protest.
The initiative's developers, led by Yossi Beilin, were in Europe last week seeking support. Beilin also has reportedly received support for the plan from the president or Portugal.

(IsraelNN.com) Foreign Minister Silvan Shalom revealed to cabinet ministers that Yossi Beilin was offered $7 million by the foreign ministers of France and Belgium to peddle the Geneva understanding.
Shalom added that Israel has filed its protests through diplomatic channels over the blatant infringement into Israeli affairs by the foreign governments.
A 'pirate' radio station they shut down. A shadow government fast-tracking the destruction of the State, this they allow!
Does Israel really object to the new plan? How far will they let it go? Until it is a fait accompli?
