One has to wonder what the dollar figure will be on these fires. ____________________________________________________________ Well maybe someone is keeping a lid on the story until the stock market opens in Asia. Dollar figures would be important to the Insurance (Prop. & Casualty) industry and the lid is about to explode off the pot.

Looking at the big picture, producing panic is what the media does best and what I am suggesting is a financial angle of this story.

Shorting and/or buying puts on insurance companies with California policyholder exposure may be an option tomorrow. Anyway I will watch this sector and see what happens.
