I'll wait to see the facts on the case before I want to see the guy crucified. Given the anti-gun bias of ordinary press hacks and the 'saintly' description of the kid, I wouldn't be suprised if the facts come out that the innocent youth was doing a bit more than innocently knocking on doors.

That's a good point--we can't rule out media bias here because we all know they hate guns and look for any reason to promote the cause. Strictly going by the facts presented here, I would side with he shouldn't have used deadly force but things may play out differently like you said.
