Heh -- this is fun! Drives 'em mad that we won't give the flukish Marlins respect and that we
know they were a merely just an above average team that got lucky.
Funny that a great number of anti-Yankee posters stayed in the closet until after the last inning of the last game was over. They feared the Yanks coming back up until the last out -- What respect for us, eh?

"Thanks fish for knocking off the Yankees, from a Redsox fan."Gee, too bad this won't translate into a Pennant Flag OR World Series Flag raised at Fenway next Opening Day :-(

If the Boss is reading this, Beckett and I-Rod are the only Marlins worth anything. The rest of the Marlins? Ask the Cubs and Giants -- they're the teams who got shelled and mauled by the Fish.

The fact is as two of the "best arms in the game," BOTH Wood AND Prior couldn't hold the anemic Marlin lineup down when it counted. With the money on the line. Now who's "bitter"?? That's a bit revisionist. Prior held the Marlins to 2 hits in 7 innings in game 6. The wheels fell off in the eighth, which means either he was tired and should have been taken out, or that 'the Fan' rattled the team. Wood came out w/o his best stuff in game 7, and gave up early runs.
Prior and Wood won games 2 and 3, giving up just 2 or 3 runs a game. Credit the Marlins for timely hitting in all three series, they deserve to be champs, but don't make them out to be something they are not.

Sooo nice to be a skankee fan and a looooooserrrrr!
Give me a break. This eats at you, that much is sooooo obvious. You cry into your pillow about your boys crying on the bench after the game like the punks both of you are.
What is it with you? Do you have something going with one of the skankees or what?

Bro, you are one of the biggest sore losers I have ever seen. All that matters is that they won the WS fair and square and makes them champs of the baseball world. They won when they were asked to. That is all that is asked of a team. Nothing else. Any other opinion you may have is worthless in my books. Any one can do what you do when their teams lose. In fact, next time my Dolphins loose, I will not blame it on the other team but on my phins instead. How bout that???

Have any NY teams won since Hitlery became Senator? The Yankees have not won the World Series when a Republican was president since Dwight Eisenhower !!!! Vote Republican, the curse lives !

I would take Pudge over Posada. Steinbrenner's liable to make it happen, too.
I'm not in the service, but admire and support the folks who lay it all on the line for the rest of us.
As to that "12 Step Program," I'm afraid the ol' liver might have given out if the Bills had lost any more Super Bowls ;-)

Prior was in absolute command from what I saw, then made bad pitches with his location in the 8th. THIS is when the term "money player" takes affect. Blaming Steve Bartman is just a crutch.
As far as Kerry Wood coming out "w/o his best stuff," that is inexcusable for one of the "best arms in baseball" pitching for The Pennant.
"Prior and Wood won games 2 and 3, giving up just 2 or 3 runs a game. Credit the Marlins for timely hitting in all three series, they deserve to be champs, but don't make them out to be something they are not."
Hey, I'm not saying either Prior and Wood aren't great pitchers; quite on the contrary. However they just weren't great when it counted.
As for the Marlins "timely hitting," I only saw bad pitching by both the Cubs AND Giants.
Many Yankee fans, including myself were NEVER impressed by the Marlin's hitting, and even less so against Yankee pitching.
The truth of the matter?? The Giants lost the NLDS, just as the Cubs lost the NL Pennant, just as the Yanks lost the WS. The Marlins are a fluke.

"But unicorns are fiction, the Marlins' Championship is fact."Yeah, but still BOTH are equally unbelievable. A positive: New hope is given to Lottery players, Saratoga longshots, and, straight flushes at poker tables in Vegas.
