I've not heard that expression. Describe a bonus room.

Not a fan of "House Hunters," huh? It's a spare room, an all-purpose room, that extra room that, in my house, would be filled with power tools, sails, perhaps an actual sailboat/pram, and assorted junk that spills over from everywhere else.
