Riiiiiight, he pulled out $7000 cash to give to his poor old Moms for -sniff- new furniture. Gee, what could he really have been going to buy with that cash?

A person with $7000 in the bank usually has a checking account. Why not just give mom a check? $7000 is too much cash for a person to be carrying around. I hope he saved his bank receipt to prove to mom that sunny boy isn't telling a tale.

Good thing mom didn't need $10,000. Then the bank would have to notify the Feds.

Plus, he used to work for BofA.  Maybe he missed "Checking Accounts 101."
