Recently laid off from a Bank of America. Resident of Walnut Creek, but has a bank account in Concord. Wonder why he was laid off? Things don't seem to fit right.

Regardless of the circumstances the money should be returned.

Better on his conscience than mine.

His mother obviously never taught her son to be careful with his cash. I'll never forget a lesson my mother taught me when I was a young paperboy. I dropped a twenty-dollar-bill while collecting during a snowstorm. I had shoved it into my pocket and it fell out. When I noticed the missing money at home, my mother said we are going to go look for it, over my protests. I just wanted to stay warm. We found it on top of a snowdrift. Her lesson was money is valuable, and to watch out for it.

A person with $7000 in the bank usually has a checking account. Why not just give mom a check? $7000 is too much cash for a person to be carrying around. I hope he saved his bank receipt to prove to mom that sunny boy isn't telling a tale.

Good thing mom didn't need $10,000. Then the bank would have to notify the Feds.

Gee, what could he really have been going to buy with that cash?

Plus, he used to work for BofA.  Maybe he missed "Checking Accounts 101."
Gee.  You don't suppose he got laid off from the bank for "not getting it," do ya?

Good Evening All-

Tell me that if YOU were carrying that wad of cash you wouldn't be checking your pocket every, oh, two seconds? If it were me, that money would be zipped-up in a fanny-pack spun to the front and jammed safely between my crotch and the gas tank! In the words of Bugs Bunny: "What a MAROON!"
