The President has no duty to 'recognize' the various religions of the world in any fashion. -- In fact, the 1st amendment specifically instructs our governments to refrain from respecting the establishments [the precepts/dogmas] of religions.

As Saber has argued, in a time of quasi-religious war, the president would be wise to confine himself to his constitutional duties, and leave religious remarks to the clergy.
