They get angry because they know the truth, they are communists. But since the USSR and Pol Pot gave communism such a bad reputation, they try to hide the fact that they are pushing communism from the masses. If the masses ever figured out they are being pushed into communism, they may hesitate, and then the communist elites in the democratic party will be outed. And hopefully the masses will reject their communist teachings.
