When did he become a tech before he became an RN?

Well, I was a little confused when he said he was an RN, because from what I had read in some article, he did not pass the nursing boards, but I guess that was incorrect.

It was said in the post or the article that he was a respiratory therapist, but not an RN. So I don't know what to believe now...

I believe he did fail the exams but later went back and passed them.
