He may have bought the house before Jodi moved in. Then they agreed to put it in her name -- that gives her the leverage to control him -- while he presses to get rid of Terri. It's pretty much the same thing as a marriage commitment to keep Schiavo "honest."Not that it isn't there somewhere, but I have done a search on Michael and Jodi, and Jodi is the only one with deeds in her name. Michael shows up on nothing with the exception of being the director for the Jerger & Centonze Insurance Agency. Personally, I think it's a ploy to keep any money he has hidden and away from view. He may have paid for part of it, but it's all in Jodi's name. Probably not an uncommon parctice for people who are high-profile personalities, but for your everyday "regular" Joe Schmoe, it's not necessary. Another reason why I suspect Michael of hiding something.

Schiavo: "My girlfriend right now has done more for Terri than her own mother did."
Hmm. Would that be, (my girlfriend right now) or
(my girlfriend), (right now has done)...
Big difference. The former makes her a girlfriend of the moment.

Also keeping everything in Jodi's name may make an "official" marriage impossible for Schiavo. He may have to stay detached to avoid judgements filed against him.
